Value creation services#

Part of the LDT Governance and Trust Framework — instantiates the iSHARE Data Space Template block Value creation services (© iSHARE Foundation, see Legal notices).

Purpose#

The services that turn shared data into value — analytics, simulation, reporting, incentives — and the rules under which they are admitted and operated.

LDT instantiation — where we stand#

Candidate service classes in the LDT:

Service Provider Notes
CO₂ / emission analytics & reporting LogiNex LCMM / ISO 23795-1-based methods; feeds tokenisation & PD5 cost-benefit
CO₂ tokenisation & behavioural rewards Nunsys + LogiNex economic incentives for behaviour change — see profile
Scenario simulation (what-if) sites + iLabs ESSIM/DEMkit for PED hourly balances, costs, emissions; LEZ scenarios
AI agents & observer chatbot iSHARE + iLabs dual-use agent stack; transparency & AI-Act duties — see profile
Citizen engagement tools Aegean + HyEnSys participation workshops, eco-routing/what-if uptake

Admission rule (draft): a service is admitted when its description is policy-complete, its data access runs through the scheme's enforcement layer, and — where it makes claims (CO₂ savings!) — its methodology is documented and auditable.

🧩 Building block requested — Owner: Nunsys + LogiNex#

What we need: tokenisation service rules: token issuance basis (verified CO₂ savings), redemption, anti-gaming controls, transaction fees, and liability for incorrect reward calculations.

🧩 Building block requested — Owner: HyEnSys + University of the Aegean#

What we need: energy-community and engagement services: which services communities get, under which access tier, and how engagement outcomes are measured (feeds PD5 KPIs).

Guiding questions#

All 20 of the template's questions for this block, with the 6 LDT answer slots to fill, are on value-creation-services/guiding-questions.md. The digest below is the subset that most shapes this block.

  • Which value-creation services matter most (carbon reporting, energy monitoring, simulation) and should horizontal or vertical services be prioritised?
  • Who governs service acceptance and should accreditation tiers exist (basic vs certified)?
  • What pricing/licensing models keep access fair (open, subscription, pay-per-use); will the Marketplace of the EU LDT Toolbox charge transaction fees with tracking of purchases?
  • How is transparency of algorithms, data sources and methodologies ensured, and how is liability handled for incorrect results?
